Privacy Policy

Invoice Maker stores your business, client, invoice and payment information locally on your device. We do not operate a server for this data, and it is not uploaded to us or to any third party by the app. The only outside parties involved are Apple, for processing your subscription payment, and whichever app or service you personally choose when you share an invoice.

The app stores the information you type into it:

• Business Profile: your business name, address, email, phone number, tax ID, logo, and payment details (bank account, IBAN, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or a payment link).
• Clients: names, company, email, address and phone number for the clients you bill.
• Invoices: line items, quantities, rates, tax, discounts, dates, notes and payment instructions.

None of this information is required to be accurate or verified by us - you are responsible for what you enter. See our Terms of Use for more on that.

All of the data above is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Invoice Maker does not use iCloud sync or any other cloud backend, and it does not transmit this data to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it, unless it was previously included in a device backup you created yourself (for example, through Apple's own iCloud or Finder/iTunes backup, which we do not control).

If you add a payment link, or an IBAN and account holder name for a euro invoice, Invoice Maker generates a QR code directly on your device that encodes that information. No data is sent to a server to generate this code, and no third-party QR service is used. The QR code only contains information you have already entered into your own Business Profile.

When you export an invoice, Invoice Maker renders a PDF locally on your device and opens Apple's native share sheet. What happens next is entirely your choice - for example, sending it by Mail or Messages, saving it to Files, or AirDropping it. Invoice Maker itself does not upload the PDF anywhere or send it to us.

Invoice Maker offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly) through Apple's In-App Purchase, handled entirely by StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details - Apple processes the transaction and tells the app, via cryptographically verified transaction data, whether you have an active subscription. Invoice Maker does not use any third-party analytics SDK. The app currently has no usage analytics collection or transmission of any kind in the version available on the App Store.

If you add a business logo, Invoice Maker uses Apple's system photo picker. This picker runs outside the app and only hands the app the specific image you select - Invoice Maker never receives broader access to your photo library.

Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete individual invoices or clients yourself inside the app. Deleting Invoice Maker from your device removes its local data. Because we do not hold a copy of your data on any server, we have no separate copy to delete on request - deleting the app is the complete deletion.

Invoice Maker is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
